Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III is a novice Viking on the Isle of Berk.
There is nothing extraordinary about Hiccup. He isn’t big and strong like the other Vikings his age. He is supposed to become Chief of the Hairy Hooligan Tribe one day, but at the moment he just feels useless.
This is not helped when his first Viking test to catch a dragon doesn’t exactly go to plan! Hiccup gets stuck with Toothless, the smallest most ordinary dragon the tribe has ever seen.
But something is waking near Berk, something no Viking has seen in hundreds of years. Maybe this will be Hiccup’s chance to prove that he is not so useless after all.
