The aim of the Design Suite is to engage, inspire and support all ages to access and use digital creative design tools. With co-working spaces and professional creative tools all available within the space along with a programme of talks, tasters, events and masterclasses the Design Suite will encourage and support enterprise, start-up businesses and creative entrepreneurship.
The Design Suite has a range of working areas, including fully equipped creative workstations, flexible spaces for users to bring their own laptops, meeting areas, relaxed working zones and a dedicated edit suite for work requiring peace, quiet and privacy. All our computers include the most up to date design software and tools.
Potential Design Suite users will be required to attend an induction session at Adam Smith Theatre before being given access to the space.
Inductions will last up to1 hour and will be run on a regular basis, at least once a week for the initial few months of opening.
After completing the induction session users will be able to book workspace in the suite.
The Design Suite is open to users aged 16+ however, we ask under 18s be supported by a parent or guardian

Fixed workstations are fully equipped, so you can just login and get going on your latest creative project. We have 4 fixed workstations, 2 of which have height adjustable desks.

Flexible workstations allow you to plug in your own laptop (or borrow one of ours) and make the most of the dual HD monitors, speedy Wifi and welcoming work space.

The Edit Suite is ideal for working on projects where privacy and focus are a must. The enclosed space is perfect for filmmaking, animation, video games and sound work.

You will not be asked to justify or give evidence as to which price point is most appropriate for you. All prices will be reviewed after 6 months.
Scale 01: This lower price is set to encourage students, startup businesses, unemployed, and people on low income to access space and equipment to build their skills and experience. Freelancers or creative businesses can also pay less if they’re willing to offer time to support our residents and other users.
Scale 02: This is our benchmark price which covers the running costs of the space.
Scale 03: This upper price is for established creative businesses and corporates, who pay a little more to enable others to pay a little less.
