During our Brushstrokes exhibition we asked you, our visitors, to tell us more about what you would like to see in our art galleries. We found out that you like variety and you want to be surprised by what we have. You want to see more local artists, more women artists and more living artists. However, you also have a soft spot for some of the artists we are best-known for – the Scottish Colourists, the Glasgow Boys and William McTaggart.
Hot on the heels of that feedback we have two new displays, Favourite Centres and New Flavours. The first features some of our most requested paintings, or ‘old favourites’. The second is bursting with works that are relatively new to our collections and have rarely, or never, been on display here. There’s also the opportunity to keep telling us what you want to see on display or even write your own label for one of the paintings.
