Fife Dunfermline Printmakers Workshop is celebrating the opening of its first exhibition of contemporary printmaking in two years.

PRINT 21 is on at The Community Gallery, Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Galleries until 5 February 2022.

The exhibition showcases a range of fine art printing techniques – etching, linocut, screen printing, collography and monotype. It’s made up of 65 artworks by 20 printmakers. The artists have been inspired by wildlife such as crows and foxes, weather, local landscapes both rural and urban, holidays, family and even a washing line .

“We’re delighted to be exhibiting again,” said chair of the workshop Sheila Carnduff. “Many of our members tried to continue to work and create at home when the workshop was closed but found this difficult. Without access to our specialist printmaking equipment and the stimulus of being with other artists, many members struggled to produce their usual high quality of print editions. We’re very pleased to now be able to show our work in The Community Gallery. It really deserves to be seen in person rather than through the lens of social media or a website.”

All work is available for sale.
