The Lower Laing museum, run by Newburgh Ancestry and History Society is open on Wednesday and Sunday afternoons during the summer months.

Situated in the High Street, the building was gifted to the town by local historian and benefactor, Alexander Laing.

The permanent gallery has a re-creation of Laing’s study and on display are some of the unusual objects he collected as well as other objects from the Museum’s collections.

Antiquarian and reference books from Laing’s own collection are also held in this Museum. Appointments for visiting the museum are also available, please get in touch to find out more.
