OnFife Comedy Café Online!
Join us in another monthly OnFife Comedy Café – Online! While we can’t see live shows in person, this is the next best thing to enjoy a Friday night in with some live comedians streamed to your screen!
So, pour yourself a drink, grab some snacks, and settle down in the comfort of your own home – at only £5 per device, it certainly beats another night of Netflix!
The line-up for Friday 26 March includes some well-known and best loved names – compered by Raymond Mearns, who was described as “Exceptionally Funny and Cathartic” by The Scotsman, has been on the UK comedy circuit for years – performing at venues across the country, including very successful Fringe shows since 2011.
Then we have Paul McDaniel - a Northern Irish comedian that CHORTLE described as "an explicable delight". He has appeared on BBC's Scot Squad and BBC Comedy Underground and was a finalist in Scottish Comedian of the Year 2018 and 2019. Paul is also a member of the three-time Scottish Comedy Award winning sketch group ‘Chunks’ and has several Edinburgh Fringe shows under his belt too.
Lubna Kerr will be up next - she appeared as featured member of the cast of Still Game at the Hydro in 2014 and more recently you would have seen her on Scot Squad and Armchair detectives on BBC 1. Lubna loves to make people feel better and if she can make them laugh with her character acts in her stand-up routine, even better!
And finally, we’ll see Marc Jennings, described by Chortle as an "astute observer who's accomplished at channelling his frustrations into a wider social critique". He will be providing us with a caustic look at the world from his perspective, as a working-class Glaswegian with an intellectual bent. Marc is a regular panellist on BBC Radio Scotland's Breaking the News, was hand-picked for 2017's BBC New Comedy Award and is a two-time Scottish Comedian of the Year finalist.
Laughter from your lounge while we can’t all be together – beats another night of Netflix!
