OnFife Comedy Café Online!
Supported by Creative Scotland with funding from Scottish Government
Needing a bit of humour to lift the January blues? We have the perfect solution! How about attending an OnFife comedy night - with a little twist, as it will be online!
So, pour yourself a drink, grab some snacks, and settle down in the comfort of your own home, to a night with some of the best comedians in Fife and further afield.
The line-up for Friday 29 January consists of some well-known and best loved names – compered by Raymond Mearns, who was described as “Exceptionally Funny and Cathartic” by The Scotsman, has been on the UK comedy circuit for years – performing at venues across the country, including very successful Fringe shows since 2011.
Next comedian is Ray Bradshaw - one of the many stand-up comedians who came up through the ranks of the Scottish Comedy Circuit to earn the right of playing at all of The UK’s top comedy clubs! Ray is also a veteran of The Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where he has successfully performed a number of sell-out solo shows for the past ten years.
Then Jay Lafferty has been performing comedy since 2005 working all over the UK as well as performing in New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Reykjavik and Amsterdam. She is an experienced writer and performer. Jay has worked on a number of hit BBC Scotland and BBC Four radio shows and is one of the longest running panellists on Radio Scotland's ‘Breaking the News’.
And lastly, John Ross is a Glaswegian comic, who made his Fringe debut in 2003. “Stand-up: The Musical” also starring Sandy Nelson and Allen Chalmers. The show went on to a successful run at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival. So laid back, he’s almost lying down and with a skewed world view that’s all his own, John’s act reduces audience after audience to a giggling mass.
So, what’s not to like? Laughter from your lounge while we can’t all be together – beats another night of Netflix!
