This summer St Andrews Museum features a selection of paintings carefully chosen to highlight the breadth and calibre of our fine art collection.  Spanning over two centuries of fine art, the exhibition features landscapes, portraits, still life, seascapes and abstract works.

Art in Trust includes works by all four Scottish Colourists – Peploe, Cadell, Hunter and Fergusson.  There are also works by two of Scotland’s greatest landscape artists, William McTaggart and James McIntosh Patrick. The Camden Town group is represented by Walter Sickert and Spencer Frederick Gore and the Glasgow Boys are represented by E A Hornel and John Lavery.  Also on display are paintings by Joan Eardley, William Gear, Robin Philipson, Alison Watt and more. Whether your tastes are traditional or contemporary, there is something to inspire, delight and challenge all our visitors.
