There is on-site parking in front of the building, including spaces for Blue Badge holders.

General accessibility information

There is ramped access from the entrance, and a lift is available for travel to the upper floor (exhibition spaces along with local and family history). A wheelchair is available for use in the building and sensory support items e.g. ear defenders, fidget toys, emotion fans can also be borrowed. The building includes dementia-friendly signage and induction loops for hearing-aid users.

Accessible toilets and Changing Places facilities

Accessible toilet facilities are available on both the ground level and first floor and the Changing Places facility is located on ground level, accessed by a radar key.

Assistance Dogs

Assistance dogs are allowed in all areas of this venue. They are trained working dogs supporting people with disabilities – please don’t distract or pet them.
