What's ON

We’ve made some big changes in the background here at OnFife Libraries and moved over to a new, shiny library system.  From our new online library catalogue you’ll be able to easily see what you have out on loan and renew anything you want to keep a bit longer. Our previous online catalogue is no longer live so if you had it saved as a favourite or bookmark on your device then please change it to new link. You can place reservations for books and see where you are on the waiting list for really popular titles. And it’s just a nice place to browse through all the gorgeous book jackets and pick your next great read.  It’s the best bookshelf in Fife and it’s all free!

At Leven Library you can select books, use public access PCs and other offerings such as photocopying, printing and collecting hearing aids batteries.

As you would expect, there will be safety measures in place to ensure the wellbeing of our staff and visitors and we encourage you to follow the current Covid guidelines.

Overdue fines

Good news – we are waiving overdue fines on books. You can return your books to any OnFife library, it doesn’t have to be the branch you borrowed them from.

Please note that books can be returned to any library building or Mobile Library.

It’s all going ON at Leven Library! Our modern and spacious community resource offers a wide range of fiction and non-fiction books for lending including large print and talking book formats. Reference, local and family history resources are available.

For the wee ones, there is a separate children’s reading area with books to suit all reading abilities. Storytimes, events and activities for younger children are held throughout the year, ask a member of staff for more information.

Leven Library also has a meeting room and a picture rail for exhibitions- both bookable for a small charge. Ask a member of staff about comprehensive range of specialist books for sale at Leven Library, or browse items in our online shop.

Find us in the pedestrianised shopping area of the town.
