We are delighted that as of Monday 26 April, we are now able to welcome you back inside Cardenden Library.  

To begin with we are offering a Limited Browsing service, which means a limited number of people in the library at any one time. You can select books, use public access PCs and other basic offerings such as photocopying, printing and collecting hearing aid batteries.

As you would expect, there will be safety measures in place and everyone must follow Scottish Government FACTS guidelines.

The Connect and Collect Service will still be available if you would like the library staff to pick a selection of books for you and you can pick up your bag of books from the door if you prefer.

Our temporary opening hours are:

Our bright, spacious and welcoming community library is located at the heart of the town, next to the Corrie Community Centre.

ON at Cardenden Library:

  • Books to suit all ages and interests, including on CD and in large print
  • Free requests for our books not on the shelf when you visit
  • Access to quality reference books and online information
  • Free PC and internet access (please book in advance)
  • Occasional children’s rhymetime, storytelling and craft sessions
  • Reading group for adults
