Sprinkling Christmas magic with a sparkling adventure

12 October 2021

OnFife is sharing the magic of Christmas with young families this December with a sparkling seasonal adventure at Carnegie Hall, Dunfermline.

Covid-19 prevented theatre shows last year but we’re determined that Fife’s children will get to experience the joy and excitement of Christmas this year with a magical adventure to remember.

We’ve teamed up Pitlochry Festival Theatre to produce a collaborative event brimming with story, music and surprise – and not forgetting the all-important chance to meet Santa!

As the journey begins, the Christmas elves have a big problem – they’ve lost the North Star! With no North Star, how will Santa find his way to deliver the presents this Christmas?

The experience starts in the foyer of Carnegie Hall, which will be transformed into a winter wonderland. From there you’ll be taken on a festive adventure, including a film following the elves on their mission. Be prepared for a right Christmas cracker of a journey as you travel through a magical forest, a super-sized Advent Calendar and Santa’s grotto, where, if you’ve been very good, you may get to meet him!

‘Departures’ will take place throughout the day and evening. Visitors will also be able to visit Tiffany’s café for a winter warmer afterwards. The show has been designed to be a safe relaxed experience, accessible for all. With affordable prices and limited availability, tickets are expected to go fast so get in early and book yours!

Verdi Clark, OnFife’s Programme Manager, said: “This last year or so has presented us all with so many challenges but we want to make sure our youngest theatre audiences experience the magic and wonder of Christmas in style.

“Working with Pitlochry has given us this opportunity and we are so excited to be bringing The Magic Of Christmas to our beautiful art-deco Carnegie Hall. This wonderful experience is all about quality, family, fun and safety with enough Christmas sparkle for everyone, young and old.

“Join us from 4 December to 19 December for a magical experience, exploring our supersized Advent calendar and helping the elves find that pesky star…they need your help!”
