In 1939, this silver trophy was presented by Mr R. H. Robertson to the winner of the Scotscraft Badminton Club Championship.

Mr Robertson was a Director of Dunfermline linen manufacturers, Hay & Robertson Ltd from 1926. ‘Scotscraft’ was the label under which the company produced embroidered goods such as tray cloths, pillow cases and bed linen.

It was under the Scotscraft label that the very first SNP tablecloth was produced, described as a “very Scottish affair of thistles, lion rampant and Saltire”
