Dunfermline Waterpolo Club was formed in 1982. The hat both identifies the team and protects the player’s ears.

Dunfermline Water polo Club was formed in 1982 when Carnegie Centre re-opened after a three year closure for refurbishment. It club caters for all grades from Mini-polo to senior international and has competed with success at all levels of the game in Scotland and Great Britain. Many club members have gained international honours.  In 1991 DWPC were the first Scottish club to compete in an official European competition, the Cup Winners Cup.
