The Marvelous Film Festival

This September sees our first themed film festival. Join us to celebrate all that is marvellous about Marvel!

Fri 20th September

Guardians of the Galaxy   5pm

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2  7.45pm

Come join us dressed as your favourite character for some fun and films.  There will be prizes for the best adult and junior costume including a £30 gift voucher for CEX.
Cosplayers very welcome.

Saturday 21st September

Avengers: Age of Ultron    11am

Avengers: Infinity War      3pm

Avengers: Endgame    7.30pm

Come dressed as your favourite character and join us on the red carpet for the last thrilling instalment of the Avengers movies. 

Drop in and join us for some marvellous fun activities, between 10am and 3pm, including:-

  • Facepainting for that all important splash of colour.

  • Head to our games arcade and have a go on games such as Iron Man, Metallica and AC/DC Pinball

  • CEX will be there with:-

    • Switch – Mario Kart – Fastest lap winner will receive a £10 CEX voucher. 

    • Marvels Ultimate alliance

    • PlayStation 4 – Marvel Vs Capcom 

    • N64 – Goldeneye

  • Join Kingdom Comics and Games for exactly that.  Andrew will be offering a selection of Comics, Graphic Novels, T-Shirts, Action Figures, Posters and Mugs for sale, along with a selection of different table top games such as Heroclix and cards to get involved with.

  • We are pleased to welcome John Bruce, who is a sketch card artist providing one-off original art for some of the top trading card companies including Topps and Upper Deck working on Lucasfilm, Disney and Netflix licensed properties. Other card work includes Zorro, White Zombie and The Evil Dead. There will also be prints and original artwork on sale.

  • Tom Crielly is an award-wining local freelance illustrator and designer who works across a variety of disciplines and styles, he recently won a Yancy Street Award for best UK artist for his art on gothic horror graphic novel "Vampires Everywhere" and also works on licensed trading cards for characters such as Rick and Morty. Tom will have a selection of his artwork on display to browse through or purchase as well as a selection of discounted comics and graphic novels available to buy. He will also be doing some commission sketches while the movies are on – these will be limited due to time constraints so ask early if you want one.
