Linger for longer as you research with OnFife’s Local Studies

22 June 2021

Did you know you can now linger longer while looking at photographs, maps, old local newspapers and specialist books?

The Reading Room at Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Galleries, Local Studies Room at Kirkcaldy Library and Reference Room at Cupar Library now have longer appointments available to those researching their family tree, finding out about their house history or simply wanting to study in a quiet space.

At Dunfermline you can have an appointment for up to two-and-a-half hours on a Monday, Thursday or Saturday; at Kirkcaldy two-hour appointments are now available on any day except Monday and Saturday, and at Cupar, you can spend up to two hours on a Wednesday.

Appointments can be booked up to two weeks in advance through www.onfife.com/libraries-archives/local-and-family-history/ or by calling the libraries directly and asking for a Local Studies booking.

If you aren’t ready to come through the door yet but think we could help with your research, please get in touch with us by email on localstudies.dunfermline@onfife.com with your enquiry.

We are really looking forward to seeing you soon.
