Kids Den

Celebrate Wild World Heroes, Summer Reading Challenge 2021 with another new Kids’ Den on OnFife Virtual LibrarYAY. This 6 week block, every Tuesday and Wednesday at 4pm till the 11 August, is sure to make you a force for nature this summer!

Fife poet Ross Collins MacKay is about to get MUCKY! Join us on OnFife Virtual LibrarYAY to hear a fantastic poem all about the wonders of MUD! Can you create your own nature-inspired poem? Join us at 2pm 12 July to have a go!

A Wild Tail from the Forest

Join Fife storyteller Sheila Kinnonmonth 2pm, 29 July on a virtual walk through the forest as she tells the magical story of Angus and the Hawthorn Stick.

Life of Plants

Offering an alternative way of learning, Hayley Earlam will be joining us on OnFife Virtual LibrarYAY 2pm, 3 August , to keep your little ones engaged through movement and craft as you explore the lifecycle of plants! Suitable for ages 3+

Face Painting Tutorials

Turn your little monster into a tiger, panda or zebra with Mary from Face This Way on 30 June, 7 July and 14 July. In the meantime, enjoy Sugar Skull Face painting or Skeleton Face Painting on the OnFife YouTube channel from our 2020 Dia De Los Muertos celebrations to get you in the mood.

Kids Dens: From Page to Stage – Cosplay with Fife Libraries

We have another brand new Kids’ Den for you this summer…who’s ready to COSPLAY?! If you love Anime, computer games, books, comic books or TV/Film then this one is for you! This 6 week block from Fife College (8 July – 12 Aug) helps you bring your favourite character to life. Who will you be? Join us on Thursdays at 4pm on OnFife Virtual LibrarYAY.

Zine/Comic Workshop with Jonny Kirkwood

Celebrate Wild World Heroes, Summer Reading Challenge 2021 by making your very own ZINE or COMIC BOOK!

Join Jonny Kirkwood of the Kirkwood Brothers for a fun and interactive workshop, where you’ll explore nature, wildlife and environmental action using materials found around the home.

Be a force for nature and get creative all at the same time!

This workshop is suitable for ages 8-12years and 1 ticket per device required.

Wild World Themed Crafts

Dare to be a force to be reckoned with with the Summer Reading Challenge Online Craft Sessions from June to August.

Come into any of our libraries to sign up to the challenge! Don’t forget to register with Children’s University Scotland too, and log all of your reading and activities on their ASPIRE website to work towards your awards.
