Set to a score of Americana and bluegrass music, this version of the bard’s tale blends classic literature with a modern twist alongside original arrangements of the music of Mumford and Sons, Dolly Parton, and The SteelDrivers, to create an emotional, accessible, toe-tapping theatrical experience.
Award-Winning Shakespeare Adaptation
The work was devised and created in Wellington, New Zealand and toured around New Zealand and Australia from November 2024 to March 2025, winning Best Theatre Week 2 at the Adelaide Fringe Festival and receiving multiple 5-star reviews along the way.
The piece was then presented at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2025, where it received 5-star reviews from Theatre Weekly, Musical Theatre, and The Recs, together with standing ovations from audiences.
