Find your audiences, your online voice and test out one BIG idea in these online workshops commissioned by OnFife especially for freelancers working in performing arts.

Digital Marketing Session 1: Finding Your Audience

Wednesday 21 April 11.00am – 12.30pm

Session 1 looks at how to identify and reach your ideal audiences, looking at the audiences who use different online platforms, finding and understanding the demographics and data and includes an exercise in jargon busting.

Digital Marketing Session 2: Amplifying Your Voice Online

Wednesday 28 April 11.00am – 12.30pm

Session 2 is about finding, developing, and amplifying your voice though your content: words, images, audio, and video.

Digital Marketing Session 3: Maximising Impact

Wednesday 5 May 11.00am – 12.30pm

Session 3 takes you through simple planning processes which will turn your ideas in to reality and introduces methods for coping with the results.

You can come to just one session or attend all three. Whatever you decide, all resources will be available to all participants after the sessions.

The friendly and informal sessions happen on Zoom and are led by Jan McTaggart, who has worked in marketing and audience development in the arts for over 25 years, for, amongst others, The Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Edinburgh International Festival, Dundee Contemporary Arts and, most recently as Deputy Director of The Byre Theatre in St Andrews. Jan is an experienced trainer who wants to make sure that audiences and artists have the best possible chance of making connections and believes that this is possible through shared understanding of the principles of marketing and a few, simple, sustainable tools.

“These sessions are aimed at performing artists but are relevant to creatives in all sectors. Anyone who feels they would benefit from this training is welcome to attend”
