Culture thriving in Levenmouth

Methil Heritage Centre is developing into a busy local cultural hub and increasing visitor numbers with a varied programme of exhibitions and activities for all ages.

Since it re-opened in 2024 it has attracted almost 2500 visitors to a series of community-led exhibitions, workshops, talks and other activities involving nine primary schools and 14 organisations. It has also offered two student placements to pupils from Lochgelly High School.

And co-locating Buckhaven’s library services into the town’s community centre has also seen it attract more customers than ever before.
