That new star up there must be my mum! Aniyah runs away from her foster home to the Royal Observatory to try to get the new star named after her mum.

Aniyah and her brother are in foster care after their mother was murdered by their father. Aniyah is obsessed with the stars and wants to be a “star hunter” when she grows up. She likes that name so much better than astronomer. However, she can’t wait that long as that new star is her mum and she must get it named after her.

Running away to get to the Royal Observatory, she must get that message to the people there. With the help of another two boys being fostered in the same home, can she succeed?

Note: Aniyah and Noah’s mum was murdered by their dad before the story starts and as a result they are in foster care. All dealt with very sensitively. Help line contacts at the end of the book plus the author’s story about her own aunt who suffered at the hands of her husband.
