Book fans look out, Potter’s about… casting his spell online

27 January 2021

Fans of Harry Potter are in for an online treat with three days of Hogwarts magic.

OnFife Libraries staff are to cast their spell with virtual book events that will enthral young followers of J K Rowling’s boy wizard.

Anyone who’s potty about Harry can enjoy quill-quivering quizzes, a cauldron full of crafts and some legendary Hogwarts-themed Lego builds. Or join in a potion-making session with Mini Professors!

They can also hone their potion-making skills and catch a Bookbug reading session with OnFife’s very own Professor McGonagall.

Says OnFife Service Development Officer Sharron Brown: “There’s no need to grab your Nimbus 2000, take the Knight Bus or hop on the Hogwarts Express – simply log on through OnFife’s Virtual LibrarYAY page.”

The fun starts with a book night from 6-7.30pm on Friday 4 February and continues with the latest Weekend With The Family event from 10am- 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. All of the events are free.
