All things murder make for a major hit at Rosyth Library

We make an impact in our communities in lots of different ways, even murder most foul!

The Monday Morning Murder Club at Rosyth Library isn’t a book or reading group but has brought people together for discussion, analysis. friendship and fun.

It was the brainchild of Library Assistants Nicola Braid and Teresa Robinson, who knew there was social isolation in their area and had seen customers not return after the lockdowns of Covid. They also knew crime fiction and true crime were popular so popped a poster up to see if anyone was interested and the Monday Morning Murder Club was born.

There’s usually a fair bit of research involved (themes have included Poison, Assassinations, Caught by Confessions, Caught by Coincidence and Murders inspired by songs) but it’s been a hit since day one. Numbers are capped at 25 to keep it manageable and new friendships and connections have been founded across the ‘evidence table’ among members, whose ages range from 17 to late 80s.
