Our Visual Arts programme includes gallery exhibitions at our flagship FifeSpace gallery at Rothes Halls, and a programme of temporary project work, including operating studio spaces in empty shop units, projections on buildings and specialist masterclasses.
We have plans in place over the next three years to extend our FifeSpaces into all our venues creating opportunities for artists and audiences across Fife. Entry to all our exhibitions is free.

Monday 1st Apr to Thursday 30th May- Voyaging to Antarctica by Robert Ward
FifeSpace gallery in Rothes Halls will feature a series of large scale pencil drawings of 'Ships and Seascapes' executed prior to Ward's trip to Antarctica. These drawings were used as part of the proposal which later won him the J.D. Fergusson Art Award. His work inspired by 'Voyaging to Antarctica' will be on display in Lochgelly Centre. ‘Voyaging to Antarctica’ will take place across two separate venues, Rothes Halls and Lochgelly Centre.
Support and funding for Craft & Visual Artists in Fife
In partnership with Creative Scotland and Fife Council, Fife Cultural Trust and Fife Contemporary Art & Craft are delighted to launch a new funding and support scheme for craft and visual artists.
The ‘Opportunities’ Grant is available to artists living or based in Fife to support projects with grants of up to £750 available. The scheme is also supporting three artists, over a 12 month period, with the ‘Next Steps’ and ‘First Steps’ programmes. These tailored support programmes will focus on personal, professional and creative development for the craft and visual artists and will include 1-1 mentoring. The bespoke programme is also likely to feature funding for research and travel, skills development and the creation of new work. One craft artist and one visual artist as well as one emerging artist will take part in the programme in this initial year.
