Discover your new Lochgelly Centre with FREE sessions and tours from 14th – 17th February. Informal tours throughout the day – just ask a member of staff.

Opening Week Programme

Valentine's Day Grand Re-Opening - 14 February 3.45pm - FREE

Join us for a special rooftop performance, then come inside and meet the staff, have a tour and enjoy some light refreshments and musical performances.

Creative Arts Taster Sessions - 15 – 17 February / 2 – 5pm - FREE

Here's your chance to try your hand at something new and find out more about new classes available. Every day between 2 – 5pm there will be a taster session in creative arts including drawing and painting, pottery and jewellery.

Starcatchers presents This Workshop Sucks - 15 February - 11.30 & 2.30pm - FREE

Professor Katy and Professor Matt have tried almost everything they can think of to make the biggest Hoover the world has ever seen. They’ve got safety specs, a big space and a ton of small explosives. All they need now is some help. A fun and interactive experience for 3 – 5 year olds. MAC: Fife’s Mobile Museum - Thursday 16 & Friday 17 Feb - 9.30am–4pm - FREE

A Cabinet of Curiosities. From a whale’s ear to a Zulu spear, these curious things tell stories about Fife’s past – its landscape and the lives of its people – from the earliest times up to the present day.

Exhibitions - Free

The new Lochgelly Centre has a beautiful new visual arts exhibition space within its foyer. During opening week there will be two striking exhibitions on display: The Alchemy of Light - Photography by Colin Homes, and Folk by Cate Inglis.

Lilly's

Our brand new venue café, Lilly’s, offers a delicious selection of light meals, hot drinks, soups and salads, and its comfortable seated area is located adjacent to the main reception.Open 10am – 3pm, Lilly’s also offers breakfasts until 11.30am, and will provide a bar service on show nights.

FIFE COUNCIL LOCAL OFFICE SERVICES

The Lochgelly Local Office has moved from 31–33 Bank Street into the new Lochgelly Centre.

During 14 –17th February the Local Office opening hours will be: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday – 9.00 – 12.30, 1.30 – 4.30 andWednesday 9.00 – 1.00. (Our permanent hours will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9.00am – 3.00pm.)We operate an appointment or drop in service so if you need information or help, you can speak to a trained advisor.
