Reading Groups

Reading Groups at Fife Libraries

Join in with one of our library-run reading groups in Cadham, Cowdenbeath, Cupar, Duloch, Dunfermline Carnegie Library & Galleries, Kirkcaldy Galleries, Methil, Oakley, Rothes Halls, St Andrews and Valleyfield libraries.

Most groups meet in the evening once a month to discuss books that are provided in advance by library staff.
If you would like to find out more about joining a library run group and which groups currently have spaces contact the library directly or email .There is an annual charge of £20 for membership.

Reading Groups can take place in a coffee shop, in the staffroom or in your own home - wherever there is a group of readers longing to talk about books.

Our Reading Groups Collections service aims to make starting up and running your own reading group easier.  Subscribe to the Reading Groups Collections service and, in return for the current annual subscription of £50.00 per group, you will be able to borrow 10 copies of one title from the current selection each month.  We’ll select a title for you and deliver the books to a library of choice ready for you to collect.

Pick up a registration form from any library or download the form below. Once completed, the form can be handed in at any ONFife library or sent to Reading Groups Coordinator, Fife Cultural Trust, Head Office, Iona House, John Smith Business Park, Grantsmuir Road, Kirkcaldy, KY2 6NA. Payment can be made in cash, or by cheque made payable to ‘Fife Cultural Trust’.
