Created over nine months in partnership with the National Theatre of Scotland, 99…100 was a large-scale creative arts residency, series of live art events and site-specific performances. One of Celebrating Fife 2010's flagship events, the project was created with and for the people of Fife.
This major co-production involved 162 participants of all ages from across the region, with 203 workshops and 15 performances attracting an audience of nearly 6,000.
99...100 celebrated and promoted Fife’s cultural life, bringing theatre to non-traditional spaces and increasing access to - and participation in - the arts.
Through creative installations and performances in shopping centres and at local festivals, the project gathered a diverse range of stories directly from the people of Fife. These were then worked into a play and a series of installations held over a week at Silverburn Park, Leven in late October 2010.
A comprehensive education pack was produced after the project, inclduing two DVD videos, which was distributed to schools and colleges across Fife.
Performances took place at:
- Kingsgate Shopping Centre, Dunfermline
- Big Tent Festival, Falkland
- HAAR Festival, Anstruther
- Kingdom Shopping Centre, Glenrothes
- Doors Open Date, Adam Smith Theatre
- Dunfermline Athletic Football Club
- Final Performance Event – Silverburn Park, Leven
