> Recorded sound actuality and Vox Pops commemorating the end of the second world war in Europe. > Fife Council organised a special Lunch for over three hundred veterans, ex servicemen and women who served in the second world war. The lunch held in the lofty and spacious Glen Pavilion, Dunfermline was hosted by Provost John Simpson. who said “Many of those who took part in WW2 are now in their 80s and 90s and this may be the last major anniversary of its kind that they will be able to participate in. It was important that this marked the occasion and let the men and women who fought in WW2 know that we will never forget the contribution they made.”> HM Lord Lieutenant of Fife,Mrs. Margaret Dean was also in attendance and gave an address at the end of the event. > Veterans were entertained throughout the day with a selection of music and songs from the period In addition there was a display of WW2 memorabilia held by Fife Council ‘s Museum Service.> Actuality of the ‘fly-past’ and childrens choirs reflect the atmosphere of the occassion> Attendee Lists and Contact Information, Running Order of the Days Programme, Written Notes , Poster and Press Release
